Push Setup
Configure Android, iOS, and web push for an app. One Firebase project powers all three.
How push works in notifySphere#
notifySphere delivers push through Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). One Firebase project covers Android, iOS, and web for a given app. You upload one Service Account credential, and every platform you've integrated starts receiving pushes sent from the dashboard or API.
Set up push in 5 steps#
Open the messaging settings
Open the app you want to configure and go to Settings → Messaging.
Upload your Firebase Service Account JSON
Follow the full walkthrough in Firebase Credentials to generate the file, then upload it here.
Save and confirm the project
The Firebase Project ID is extracted automatically and shown for confirmation.
Integrate the client SDK
Devices must register for push from your app. See the React Native SDK or Flutter SDK guide.
Send a test push
Send a test from the dashboard to confirm delivery before going live. See Test your integration.
What each platform needs#
| Platform | In your app | In Firebase / notifySphere |
|---|---|---|
| Android | google-services.json, notification permissions, a small notification icon | Service Account JSON uploaded in Settings → Messaging |
| iOS | GoogleService-Info.plist, Push Notifications and Remote notifications capabilities | Same Service Account JSON. Test on a physical device, not the Simulator. |
| Web | A domain served over HTTPS | SSL Domain Check passes |
