API Keys
Per-app credential used to send notifications and post events from your own backend.
Generating a key#
Open your app
Open the app you want to send from.
Go to API Keys
Navigate to Settings → API Keys.
Generate a key
It's scoped to that one app only.
Using the key#
Send it as a Bearer token on requests to the notifySphere API, and pass it as apiKey when initializing a client SDK — the React Native SDK's initialize() and setBackgroundHandler() both take it, and use it to authenticate delivery and press-tracking calls.
Common uses#
- Sending push/WhatsApp messages from your own backend instead of the dashboard UI
- Registering users and syncing tags server-side
- Posting campaign conversion events (
postEvent) for attribution
