How is WhatsApp Business API pricing calculated?
Meta charges per delivered template message, based on its category (marketing, utility or authentication) and the recipient's country. Your provider then adds its own markup or platform fee on top. The provider fee is the only part that differs between providers.
How much does a WhatsApp marketing message cost in India?
Meta's rate for a marketing template to an Indian number is about ₹0.86 per message before GST. Providers commonly charge ₹0.95 to ₹1.10 or more once their markup is added.
Are replies to customer messages charged?
Free-form replies within the 24-hour customer service window are free from Meta, and utility templates sent inside that window are free too. This calculator covers the template messages you send to start or continue conversations.
Is GST included?
No. All prices here exclude 18% GST, which applies on top of both Meta's charges and the provider's fees in India.
